Leyla Chykulina

Born in 2006 in Zurich, Switzerland, Leyla Chykulina is a Swiss actress and filmmaker of Russian, Kenyan, and Indian heritage. Growing up between cultures, she found her sense of belonging through storytelling and began performing at a young age at Schauspielhaus Zürich. Since then, she has appeared in over 20 film, television, and commercial productions, including the GALAXUS campaign. She is represented by Victoria Steven Management in London.

Alongside her acting career, Leyla completed a commercial apprenticeship (KV EFZ), during which she wrote, directed, and starred in her debut short film THE MAGIC TRICK. The film has begun its international festival journey, including a screening at the North Film Festival winning Best Film at the Filmzytbern Film Festival, and receiving support from Innovative Eye.

Currently, Leyla is in post-production with her second short film STARLYN, for which she serves as writer, director, producer, and actress. In 2026, she joined ZAS Film AG as an intern, continuing to expand her experience in film production.
